Affordable Housing Projects

Location: Countywide

Project Type: Countywide Investments

Pinellas County is investing 4.15% of Penny revenue in land and infrastructure to support housing development that’s affordable for local residents. This fund is part of an Interlocal Agreement between the County and cities to support limited economic development, housing and courts and jail projects.

The Penny enables the County to purchase land for residential development that will remain affordably priced into the future even as market prices go up. The program ensures essential workers, including teachers, first responders, hotel employees and many others can afford to continue living in Pinellas. Learn about the program.
