Oldsmar Sports Complex Upgrades
Location: 3120 Tampa Rd., Oldsmar
Project Type: Parks & Preserves
The City of Oldsmar used the Penny for Pinellas to upgrade BMX, multipurpose, and baseball and softball facilities at the Oldsmar Sports Complex. The upgrades serve residents and allow the city to attract national and international events.
BMX Supercross Timing System
Installed a chipped timing system for the BMX Supercross Track. The timing system is embedded in the track an enhances the facility by providing accurate timing for practice and races for youth and adults and is required to host sanctioned events through USABMX.

BMX Supercross Turn Renovation
Renovation of asphalt in turns 1, 2 and 3 on the track at the BMX facility. The turns receive a great deal of wear and tear from riders during training and racing and lose aggregate material. The renovation will reinforce the riding surface and provide a safer user experience.

Baseball & Softball LED Lighting Retrofit Phase I
Retrofitting of the current ballfield lights on fields 1, 2 and 7 to LED lighting, improving the safety and efficiency of the lighting on the fields for the youth athletes in Oldsmar Little League and regional tournaments.

Baseball & Softball Field Renovations
Renovation of the baseball and softball fields including new clay, laser grading, irrigation, turf installation, scoreboards, storage sheds, and concession/restroom renovations that improved conditions for local youth in Oldsmar Little League and guests at regional tournaments.
