This property was donated by local businessman George Weiss, and improvements were made by the city. By donating this land and supporting the city officials, both physically and financially, we have been able to maintain a park, Folly Farm Nature Preserve, in a way that all residents can enjoy free of charge. Educational classes like Explore, Discover & Grow, Nature Buddies, guided evening hikes, camp outs for families, holiday festivals with campfires, and petting zoos all add to the community’s dedication to a sense of value and sustainability to the land.
